First Asian Para-Taekwondo Championship Announced

Re: 1st Asian Para-Taekwondo Championships

Dear Taekwondo Family,

I send you my warmest greetings.

Following para-taekwondo's historic inclusion in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games we are looking forward to several world ranking events and championships in 2015.

The 1st Asian Para-Taekwondo Championships will be held in Taipei City, Chinese Taipei on April 17, 2015 with classification of new "N" athletes taking place on April 15-16, 2015. The Championships will award G-4 ranking points for athletes from Asia Taekwondo Union while athletes from other Continental Unions will be awarded G-2 ranking points.

The WTF Continental Unions have agreed to open up their continental para-taekwondo championships for global participation in order to further promote the sport of para- taekwondo and to give our para-taekwondo athletes more opportunities for international competition.

Registration through the Global Membership System (GMS) are open and I am looking forward to your active participation in the 1st Asian Para-Taekwondo Championships.
